HUNT VAN WINKLE, Owner/Builder
Hunt Van Winkle is a third-generation builder whose passion for construction was shaped early through the influence of his grandfather, Charles Bolton, a respected builder and developer. From a young age, Hunt spent countless hours alongside his grandfather on job sites and in his office, gaining firsthand exposure to the craftsmanship, discipline, and business principles that continue to guide his work today.
After earning a degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix–Arizona, Hunt began his professional career with nationally recognized builders including The Villages, Park Square Homes, and K. Hovnanian Homes. Over the course of more than 20 years in the industry, he developed extensive experience in residential construction, project management, design, and customer relations.
Drawing on this foundation, Hunt established Van Winkle Custom Homes with a commitment to building exceptional custom homes that blend timeless craftsmanship with modern design, innovation, and advanced building science. Known for his attention to detail and collaborative approach, Hunt works closely with clients to create homes that are both highly functional and thoughtfully personalized.
Guided by strong Christian values, Hunt has built a faith-based organization centered on integrity, honesty, accountability, and service to others. These principles influence every aspect of the company — from client relationships and communication to craftsmanship and team culture — creating a building experience grounded in trust, respect, and genuine care for each homeowner.
Hunt is a licensed North Carolina General Contractor and resides in Pinehurst with his wife, Katarina, and their two children William and Elise.
